教美村原属下堡镇，2004年起归水口镇。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
相传旧时此地有「告尾」「安民告示」两个地名，村头到村尾约长10千米，沿山陇呈带状伸向狮子岩山；「告尾」与「教美」读音相近，遂成今名。[1]1961年称教美大队，为教美乡（1983年），称村委会（1987年），称管理区（1993年），又称教美村委会（1999年）；下堡镇撤销（2004年11月），改归水口镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
教美村名列2019年9月公布的2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
