名称与沿革[edit]

传说旧时山岭上长着许多荷树，村名由此而来。^[1]1950至1958年间，曾设荷树乡，辖区包括达新等地；设荷树大队（1958年）。从中分出蓝田大队（1978年），设荷树乡时蓝田并回（1984年）；称管理区（1989年），成立荷树村委会（1999年）。^[1]

荷树村名列2019年9月公布的2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。^[1]
