水洋村隶属水口镇，属镇乡结合区。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村子地势较低，四周被村民开垦成成片的田洋，故名水洋。[1]新中国成立后到1958年以前，它隶属小丰等行政单位；设水洋大队（1958年）。分出陶上、司背、石塘（三者属水西公社）和宁江（属水口公社）几个大队（1978年），合并设水洋乡（1984年），称管理区（1989年），改称水洋村委会（1999年）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
水洋村种植沙田柚，是省农业农村厅在2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村之一。此外，它列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月），并在2024年4月进入首批省乡村振兴示范村创建名单。[1]
