坑口街道在广东省肇庆市鼎湖区东部，东面与桂城街道相邻，南濒西江，西接端州区黄岗镇，北靠凤凰镇，是鼎湖区人民政府的所在地，下设万福、苏村、蕉园、迪村、罗隐、后沥6个社区。[1][2]街道于1992年12月设立，辖区面积约95.5平方千米。[1][3]街名取自鼎湖山天溪与云溪两条水系汇合处的旧称“坑口”。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

洪武年间（1368～1398年），高要县下围乡岩前都管着今坑口的大部分，后沥属肇庆城东厢。1904年（清光绪三十年）这里有文明堡，以及东屯的大蕉园村；到了1928年，划为第一区文园乡。[3]1943年10月，辖区归东文乡；1950年归双东乡；1953年设蕉东、苏南两乡；1955年2月随广利区；1958年10月起划入广利人民公社。[3]

1961年，苏村大队改隶肇庆市，罗隐、后沥则转入水上人民公社，至1972年才回到广利；蕉园大队（连同迪村）于1977年改隶肇庆市。[3]1988年4月，鼎湖区接收蕉园、迪村、苏村三地并设立坑口管理区办事处，当年11月更名为坑口办事处；到1992年12月办事处改设为街道，罗隐、后沥也在这个月由广利划来。[3][6][7]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于鼎湖区东部，南临西江，北倚鼎湖山。[1][4]据博雅地名网，321国道、三茂铁路和西江主航道从辖区穿过。[4]广茂铁路的水坑站也列在维基百科的坑口街道条目下。[5]

百度百科记载，2011年末街道总人口为22956人；博雅地名网引述的第七次全国人口普查（2020年）结果约为5.2万人，在鼎湖区各街道、镇中居首。[1][2]

据博雅地名网转述的街道概况，各社区沿321国道划出工业开发区，建起二十余幢招商厂房，引进制衣、玉米加工、石雕型材、食品等企业；工业园内的行业包括五金、再生资源、制药、食品、建材、仪表，以及化工、制衣和农副产品加工，规模较大、效益较好的企业有八十多家。[4]同一文本还提到街道开发了鼎湖花园、怡景花园等别墅区和多个住宅小区。[4]

2011年街道的财政总收入为5342万元，增值税收入4368.8万元，营业税收入970万元。[1]
