历史沿革[edit]
相传村原在沙富水的坑口，也有说法是在水岭涌的涌口（“涌”在方言中也称“坑”），因此得名。[1]黄姓于明洪武十年（1377年）迁入，渐成上里、下里两个黄姓村落，后在东边另建东村。[1]清康熙县志记有坑口村，属泷水都四图。[1]
人口与产业[edit]
博雅地名网载，村有人口1021人，面积1720亩，分坑美、上里、下里、甜心、东村5个生产小组，主要种水稻和甘蔗，养鸭和四大家鱼。[1]2025年的报道把坑口生态旅游列为运作中的强村公司之一。[2]
