芹州村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，因村民多以种芹菜出售为生而得名，分上芹、下芹。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村里多数人家靠种植和出售芹菜谋生，所以取名芹州。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村分上芹、下芹，统称芹州。1957年至1959年间成立芹州高级社，归大坡管区；1960年起分设芹州、合社、旺岗三个大队，到1963年合并成芹州大队。1983年起叫芹州乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理。[1]
荣誉[edit]
该村进入省卫生村名录是在2019年10月，早一个月又被纳入省「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1]
