西一村是肇庆市高要区小湘镇辖下的行政村，地处小湘镇西北部、大湘公路旁，占地约15平方千米，分9个村民小组。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
西一在解放前称西约。1955年建农业社，1958年入东风公社，设西一大队；1959年改隶小湘公社。1983年为乡，1987年为村委会，1989年为管理区，1998年管理区撤销，恢复村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，西一村有331户、1457人。耕地627亩、山地20200亩，距镇城区约15公里。农户种水稻和肉桂，2008年人均收入约4948元，曾获镇先进基层党组织、市计划生育先进村等称号。[1]
