历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村名的由来是一个传说：村子三面是缓坡地，村西那一片最宽，所以叫西坡。[1]1954年设西坡乡，1958年起为生产大队，1983年称管理区，1986年建村委会，1989年撤销村委会、改设管理区，1999年又恢复了村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
