大坡镇是广东省茂名市高州市东北部的建制镇，东接阳春市，南邻电白区那霍镇，北与平山、马贵两镇相连。全镇面积约236平方千米，辖1个社区、25个行政村，镇政府设在沿江路2号的大坡圩。[1][2]

这是一个山区镇，南部的平云山属云雾山脉南延部分，大轿顶海拔1335米；竹林和山水资源是当地工业、农业的依托。民国时期此地称朗韶乡。[1][2][3]

名称由来与历史沿革[edit]

镇名取自镇区所在的大坡圩，圩坐落在镇北的大坡岭下。[1][2] 民国时期这里是朗韶乡，所以朗韶也是大坡镇的别称。[1][2]

建国后的变迁，百度百科和博雅地名网的记载一致：1953年起先属茂名县第十三区，后称大坡区；1958年成立大坡公社；1983年公社改回区的建制；1986年12月撤区建镇。[1][2] 维基百科则称1957年置大坡乡、1987年建镇，与前两者有出入。[4]

大坡镇在云雾山脉南向伸延的地带，山势东高西低，南部的平云山海拔1335米。[2][3] 据博雅地名网转载的镇情介绍，全镇山地约27.8万亩，其中宜林山地22万亩，耕地约2.4万亩，水力资源丰富；镇域面积为全市各镇街中第三大，镇情介绍中则称是高州市辖区面积最大的镇。[2][3]

百度百科记载，2019年末全镇户籍人口85326人。[1] 博雅地名网引第七次全国人口普查结果，称常住人口为4.99万人，居高州市各街道乡镇第7位；镇情介绍则称总人口6.7万人，未注明年份。[2][3] 通行粤语（高州话）。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网转载的镇情介绍，该镇利用竹、木和水力资源发展地方工业，办有小水电、纸品、木制家具和竹器制品等企业，全镇有小水电站29座，装机容量1万千瓦；镇内企业合计553家，吸纳从业人员2834人。农业方面以粮、果、菜、桑、林和畜牧养殖为六大主导产业，并建有黄榄科技示范园。[3]

百度百科记2019年末辖区有工业企业53家，其中规模以上3家。[1] 2021年9月，辖内的大旺垌村和格苍村以竹制品入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[5][6] 2022年，镇里新修水渠合计6.7公里，并加固修复了9座蓄水设施。[1]

文化与荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，大坡镇被命名为「2021年度广东省卫生城镇」；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[2] 辖内坑塘村在2026年1月获评第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

平云山是镇内的主要景区，主峰大轿顶海拔1335米，被称作高州境内最高峰；山上有麒麟瀑布、高山草原和成片竹林，还有相传始建于隋代的平云古寺（冼太庙）以及传为冼夫人军事基地的古城墙、烽火台遗迹。景区已列入高州市创建国家3A级旅游景区的序列。[8][9] 大轿顶山体由中生代火山岩构成，山顶平坦，发育高山草甸，白水冲瀑布落差约230米。[9]

镇内还发现多处古代遗址，出土过汉代铜鼓和大型石斧；周龙墩岭遗址在2024年被高州市纳入不可移动文物名录。[1][3] 新田、福州、格苍、下垌等村是革命老区，留有一些革命遗迹。[3]
