周敬村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，原名洲镜，解放后为书写方便改作周敬。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村旁河边有一道很长的沙洲，沙洲上散布着许多水晶碎片，在阳光下闪亮如镜，村子因此叫洲镜；解放后为了书写简便，改写成周敬。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1957年至1959年间为周敬高级社，归军屯管区；1960年起分设周敬、刀寨两个大队，到1963年合并成周敬大队。1983年起叫周敬乡，1986年起叫周敬农村管理区，1999年起由周敬村民委员会管理。[1]
荣誉[edit]
该村进入省卫生村名录是在2019年10月，早一个月又被纳入省「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1]
