金渠村是广东省茂名市信宜市北界镇中部的行政村，村名来自「渠中淘金」的传说。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传从前有位老妇人在水渠边洗衣，发现渠水里有黄金，消息传开后村民纷纷到渠中淘金，村子因此叫金渠。[1]
沿革[edit]
民国年间属六城乡第十二堡，建国之初称十二村。1952年同金坡并作金渠合作社，1958年拆开，另设金渠大队；1983年起设乡级政府，1987年起改设村民委员会，延续至今。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
全村分23个村民小组，在册686户，总面积5平方公里（该站未注明年份）。以水稻为主，近年发展林业，养猪、鸡、鸭，种龙眼200多亩。[1]
2021年12月，金渠村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
