大榕村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，因旧时村中多大榕树得名，分上、下大榕。[1]
名称由来[edit]
古时村里长着许多大榕树，村名因此而来；按位置分为上大榕、下大榕。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1957年至1959年间为大榕高级社，归大坡管区；1960年起另有上大榕、下大榕两个大队，到1963年合并成大榕大队。1983年起叫大榕乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由大榕村民委员会管理。[1]
荣誉[edit]
该村进入省卫生村名录是在2019年10月，早一个月又被纳入省「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1]
