大坪村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，因地势开阔平坦而叫大坪，2021年被评为广东省卫生村。[1]
名称由来[edit]
该处面积较大，四周地形平缓，依地形称大坪。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
当地的说法是清代匪患多，乡人组织自卫队，叫军屯。1957年至1959年间为军屯高级社；1960年分出鹤垌、大坪、军屯三个大队，后于1963年再合成军屯大队；1983年起叫军屯乡，1986年起叫军屯农村管理区，1999年起由大坪村民委员会管理，此后沿用。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2019年9月进入2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
