莲塘村是江门市蓬江区棠下镇东南方的行政村，面积约2.1平方千米；西与杜阮、鹤山两地交界，东面是桐井村，南面是迳口村，北面是三堡村。[1]村名来自从前这里遍植莲藕。[1]

经济[edit]

村里上规模的企业只有2家，农业以鱼塘和养猪为主；2009年农业收入达1012万元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国至1956年属新会县桐井乡；1961年属棠下公社，称莲塘大队；1999年设村委会；2002年随棠下镇划归蓬江区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年11月，莲塘村入选广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村。[1]
