村名与沿革[edit]

村名来自村委会驻地所在的莲塘自然村。1955年9月设莲塘乡，1958年10月改为莲塘大队，1983年11月复为莲塘乡，1986年11月设莲塘村委会，1989年8月改为莲塘管理区，1999年5月定为莲塘村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年4月，莲塘村入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
