坑口村属梅州市五华县横陂镇，是该镇的一个行政村，位于镇域东北部[1]。据博雅地名网所载，全村下设15个村民小组，登记在册220户、1136人[1]。

地名由来与历史沿革[edit]

村内有一条小河流向琴江河，村屋建在这条河源头的坑口上，故名。[1]

村级建制的变迁：1949年为一乡；1958年归锡坑人民公社的福裕管理区，建有坑口大队；1983年6月起属锡坑乡政府；1989年归锡坑镇，叫作坑口管理区；1999年改建有坑口村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，坑口村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
