老楼村属梅州市五华县横陂镇，是该镇的一个行政村，位于镇域东北部[1]。据博雅地名网所载，全村下设21个村民小组，登记在册842户、4390人[1]。村内有广东省文物保护单位李惠堂旧居（联庆楼）[2]。

地名由来与历史沿革[edit]

据说李氏兄弟合力在此建起一座房屋，取名“联兴楼”，是当地最早的建筑，后人便称这里为老楼。[1]

村级建制的变迁：1949年为老楼乡，1958年建有老楼大队，1983年易名为老楼乡政府，1989年叫作老楼管理区，1999年易名为老楼村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

李惠堂旧居又名联庆楼，是客家围屋，由李惠堂之父李浩如于清光绪十八年（1892年）建造，总占地约4400平方米，建筑面积3590平方米左右；平面为面宽五间、三进深的四合院，两侧各有横屋，四角建四层炮楼，后面筑有一层围屋[2]。1994年9月，它先被定为县级文保单位；2008年11月升为省级，属第五批；2010年2月又被认定为梅州市客家古民居[2]。

祥裕楼在锡坑老楼村松元，建于民国，曾是鳌背乡农民协会旧址，属红色革命遗址；县人民政府在2021年2月26日公布第六批县级文物保护单位，它名列其中[3]。宁一庄在老楼村下寨，也建于民国，据百度百科为抗日将领李友梅的故居，同批公布为县级文物保护单位[4]。
