新村位于广州市南沙区横沥镇东南端，邻珠江管理区和万顷沙镇，行政区划数据中称新村村。[1]

名称与历史[edit]

村子清末围垦，围名“阜盛围”。1952年，广州市政府组织下岗工人下乡参加农业生产，在此成立工人新村大队，简称新村。1958年设新村大队，1959年划归番禺县大岗公社。[1]

概况[edit]

面积0.97平方千米，含一村、二村、三村三个自然村，267户、752人，另有外来人口约1440人。鱼塘约600亩，耕地约200亩。[1]2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
