乌石村在汕头市潮南区陇田镇西南部，南山北麓，是依山而建的半山村。村后有一块黑色大石，原名乌石埠，后谐音写作乌石部，再简称乌石；博雅地名网另有「乌石部村」的页面。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

全村郑姓，先祖由神山迁棉城盐巷居住。清乾隆年间（1736—1795年），十八世钦成祖先迁和平桥头村，再回县城，最后迁到这里开基垦荒，已传12代。1975年永安大队分出乌石大队，1981年改称乌石部大队，1986年设乌石村委会。[1]

概况[edit]

人口1380人，山林60亩，耕地240亩，种水稻、大薯、淮山等。村民郑定平在1991年研制出减肥茶，办起大印象公司，1998年又出资建了大印象学校。西面有五沟水库和沙陇自来水厂。[1]
