历史沿革[edit]
方氏先祖从福建莆田迁惠来东陇，十世祖方守正于明弘治年间（1488—1505年）迁到石坑；林氏原居棉城，成化年间迁胪岗上陇，后有三世祖分居此地。村东寨门匾书「盘石安固」。明清两代归惠来县管；1958年12月惠来县撤销，石坑转入田心公社，1961年10月5日再划给沙陇公社。[1][2]
经济与社会[edit]
农业种水稻、荔枝，山地种燃料林，袜业是特色工副业。村里有华侨捐资办的育英学校和医疗站。2023年11月开展农村不动产「房地一体」首次登记，涉及236宗。[1][2]
