葫芦村在汕头市潮南区陇田镇南部，东邻亭仔庵，北隔溪与大布洋村相望，南濒大南山。寨垣形似葫芦，故称葫芦寨村，简称葫芦；明万历年间黄氏、孙氏先后迁来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
黄氏一世祖黄坦直在明万历年间（1573—1619年）从关埠桥头村迁入；孙氏一世祖大野于万历初年由惠来华湖迁来；另有从大布洋迁来的戴、董等姓。明、清至民国初年属潮阳县峡山都，1950年属永新乡，1958年称葫芦大队，1986年设村委会。[1]

村里人口1025人，耕地225亩，种水稻、甘薯、甘蔗，副业有砖瓦和织袜，黄喜波为沙陇织袜业的创始人之一。老寨民居多为「下山虎」加双厝包结构，新村也统一采用下山虎格局。[1]
