白坎村在横山镇中部，广贺高速公路广宁段从村境穿过，紧挨广宁高新产业园和广宁竹海大观主景区，辖26个村民小组，面积约10.17平方公里，博雅地名网载总人口3960多人。[1][3]2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予它“广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间称白坎咀，属官塘铺。1954年分为白坎、洞庭两个农业社，1958年合为白坎大队；1987年为村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村距县城12公里，距横山圩4公里，处丘陵山岗地带，山地12000亩，水田2450亩，鱼塘350亩。山上种速生桉和砂糖桔，水田种水稻，鱼塘养四大家鱼，并发展仔猪养殖；村里还招来一家化工厂，办有花生油加工厂和农资综合服务部，作为集体收入来源。[3]白坎村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
