历史沿革[edit]

乌石村的建置依次为：附城公社乌石大队（1958年）、乌石乡（1983年）、乌石村委会（1987年）、乌石管理区（1989年）、乌石村委会（1999年）。2009年乌石镇并入紫城镇，村随之成为紫城镇辖村。^[1]

村辖区内的巷子岗上有一块很大的黑色石头，客家话里黑色也说“乌色”，村名由此而来。^[2]
