汶塘村是汶朗镇西北部的行政村，离圩镇5公里，辖15个自然村，总人口4355人，设一个党支部，有党员77人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来自办事处东面约一公里的一口大鱼塘，塘中有一眼四季不断的大泉，当地人称泉为“汶”。[1]此地1955年建汶塘高级社；1958年拆出汶塘、金汶、铜锣三个大队，1966年归并为一个汶塘大队，1971年复分为三个管委会。1983年立汶塘乡，之后设村委会（1987年）、管理区（1992年），自1998年称村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地面积284.95公顷，其中旱地112.83公顷，水田130.67公顷。[1]村里以石灰为主导产业，金汶石场储量在3亿立方米以上，被称为怀集县最大型的石场之一。[1]2019年9月，汶塘村进入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建名单；2020年8月，又以青柠檬入选广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村。[1]
