溪尾村在汕头市潮南区陇田镇的沙陇片区东部，处于大龙溪下游，龙溪的淡水与龟海的咸潮在此相遇，故称溪尾。村寨呈圆形，四周环水，状如浮在水上的莲花，民居随寨墙环绕。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
溪尾创村于明正德年间（1506—1521年），谢氏东潭祖来此开基；明末崇祯年间，张氏五世祖敦懿从胪岗镇港头乡迁入；方氏来自惠来，郑氏来自仙家。谢氏源出潮州庵埠。1975年茆溪北大队分出溪尾大队，1983年属茆港乡，1986年设村委会。[1]

村里有1729人，党员28人。溪尾村在2019年9月公布的2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单上。[1]
