历史沿革[edit]
创村时多姓聚居、林木茂盛，取和睦之意叫和林，后寨门匾刻「太华毓秀」而称太华，最后因潮汕话「和」「华」同音改成华林。明、清至民国属潮阳县大坭都，1921年属田心乡；1983年称华林乡，1986年设村委会。[1][2]
概况[edit]
耕地690多亩，林地近10000亩，人口约8000人，以渔业、农业为主，塑料制品是主要工业。深汕高速公路和和惠公路从村前经过，东南侧有高速出入口。2022年10月和2019年9月，分别列入淘宝村名单和「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1][2]
