东波社区位于汕头市潮南区陇田镇的大南山北麓，面朝龟海，是陇田镇镇区与商贸中心所在。相传因村东有一座山坡，起初叫东坡村，后来改写作东波。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
东波的祖先在南宋祥兴年间（1278—1279年）由井都镇神山村迁来定居。明、清至民国初年属潮阳县峡山都，民国时属第七区；1950年归沙陇乡，1958年称东波大队，1983年改乡，1986年设居委会，1992年称管理区，1999年恢复居委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]
后库郑氏祖祠在东波西斗桥的后库一带，属清代古建筑，2014年10月10日被汕头市列为文物保护单位。[1]
