地名由来[edit]
村里种烟，烧缸瓦、打铁、打石的能工巧匠多，所以叫万能。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期为派东乡十一村，1958年成立万能大队；1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月改称万能村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
村情介绍称，全村约2.5平方千米，自然村10个、合作社12个，350户1692人。2023年5月获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
著名人物[edit]
江焕章（1913至2000年），万能村人，早年务农、酿酒，后在增城县城开设烟丝店，收购本地烟叶加工，是当地有名气的企业经营者。[2]
