东洞村位于广州市增城区派潭镇北部山区，邻近高滩的白水寨景区。^[1]

地名由来[edit]

村在高滩以东，两侧是山，像一个山洞，故名东洞。^[1]

明末，邓、黄、朱三姓村民迁到现址开居。新中国成立初期属派北乡第四村，1958年因大队驻东洞而称东洞大队；1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月改称东洞村委会。^[1]

村情介绍称，全村约2.5平方千米，山林4200亩，5个经济合作社，330户。列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。^[1]
