地名由来[edit]
张氏始祖于元末来此建村。此地曾有一间店铺，地势又高，起名「高铺」，后写作谐音的「高埔」。明末清初，部分村民迁出另建新村，原村就称旧高埔。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期为派西乡十村，1958年成立旧高埔大队，1971年大队部迁到花地头；1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月改称旧高埔村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
村情介绍称，全村4.5平方千米，山林9800亩、水田3100亩，自然村9个、合作社13个，586户2861人；农业以粉葛、葛圆、凉粉草和腊鸭出名，还有一处600亩的标准化蔬菜生产基地。2023年5月获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
