地名由来[edit]
村民擅长编织鹅兜（孵鹅蛋用的竹篮），因而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期为派东七村，1958年并入派潭大队，1962年并入湾吓大队，1963年重新并回派潭大队；1978年分出成立鹅兜大队，1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月并入派潭村民委员会，2014年分出，成立鹅兜村民委员会。[1]
列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。[1]
