历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来，是建村时村子两端各设一座门楼，分不出头尾，便叫「双头」。新中国成立初期这里属派北乡十三村，1958年并入汉湖大队，1966年与汉湖分设，立双头大队；1983年恢复为乡，1987年1月撤区改镇，称双头村民委员会。[1]
经济与资源[edit]
村情介绍称，全村面积2.2平方千米，山林5500亩、水田1050亩，10个合作社，250户1328人；2009年集体经济收入8万元，村民年人均收入3200元。村民以种凉粉草和果蔗为主，村里有名为「狮头岭石燕洞」的生态资源。[1]
