大埔村位于广州市增城区派潭镇中心，处在白水寨风景名胜区范围内，北面连着镇区。^[1]

地名由来[edit]

清乾隆年间建村。按风水的说法，村地形像一只鹅，鹅要有大片草地才能兴旺，所以叫「大埔」。^[1]

新中国成立初期为派东乡四村，1958年因大队驻大埔村称大埔大队；1983年11月改称大埔乡，1987年1月改称大埔村民委员会。^[1]

村情介绍称，村域14.79平方千米，山林9000亩、水田2680亩，下辖自然村7个、合作社12个，2009年全村3372人、750户，称是镇内三大行政村之一。省道增派公路把村分为两半，增从高速在建时穿村而过；在2020年的派潭镇总体规划中，村被划入镇区。^[1]

2025年6月，被认定为「2024年度广州市级美丽乡村」；列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。^[1]
