地名由来[edit]
原名水口窿，因村建在派潭水一条支流的源头，村委会设在水口冚而得名。「冚」字在广东当地读音与「窿」相同。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期为水口冚乡，后并入湴汾小乡；1958年成立水口冚大队；1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月改称水口冚村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
村情介绍称，全村约3.6平方千米，自然村15个、合作社13个，417户1692人。2021年11月，获得2020年度「广州名村」称号。[1]
