地名由来[edit]
村名有两说：一说取「异派之水而成潭」之意；另一说是旧时木材多，扎排放入水潭运出，称「排潭」，后谐音为「派潭」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期为派东二乡；1958年称派潭大队；1961年体制下放时，一分为三（派潭、石龙头、马村），到1963年复归一队；1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月改称派潭村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
村情介绍称，全村6.5平方千米，山林34500亩、水田3580亩，自然村17个、合作社16个，486户3786人；2009年集体总收入33.53万元，村民年人均收入6196元。村内建有占地5亩的休闲运动公园，2006年又建了占地3亩、设14个床位的敬老院。列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。[1]
