村级建制的变化如下：为高级社（1957年）、属塘㙍公社、称大队（1959年）、划入板桥镇（1975年）、称乡（1983年）、称管理区（1988年）、改称东村村民委员会（1999年）、板桥镇于2004年并入塘㙍镇[1]。
