东村（博雅地名网作东村村）是佛山市禅城区南庄镇东部的行政村，在东平水道与吉利河交汇处，南靠吉利涌，北临东平水道，西与溶洲村相邻，东经南庄大道、石南大桥通向石湾，分7个村小组，有下东、南街、仁寿等。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年10月先属超英（沙岗）公社，当年12月县里调整区域，东元（东村、上元）和溶洲改归南庄公社；1961至1963年归溶洲公社，1963年5月并社后称东村大队；1983年11月称东村乡，1987年2月设南庄镇东村村民委员会，1999年3月复称村民委员会，2002年12月划归禅城区。[2]
荣誉[edit]
曾获「佛山市生态示范村」「广东省卫生村」「广东省村务公开民主管理示范村」等称号；2022年1月被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位，2026年3月认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1][3]
