迈哉村属雷州市客路镇，在湛江市境内，是镇下的一个行政村[2]。其建制沿革与所获荣誉见下。

迈哉原属坡仔大队，1980年拆出另设大队，1983年11月两地又合为迈哉乡；1987年2月二者分开，迈哉设村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年定为村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
