历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，南宋宝庆元年（1225年）有百姓从南雄珠玑巷南逃，到桂圃一带落脚；明宣德元年（1426年）其中的刘姓从桂圃迁来此处开村。村边小河弯曲如藤，旧称“藤涌”，后改取“飞黄腾达，气冲牛斗”之意，写作腾冲；这里也是南宋进士刘元的故乡[1]。
民国时属平桂乡，新中国成立初称桂腾乡；1958年设腾冲大队，1983年起称乡，1987年起称村，1989年为管理区，1999年为村委会，2002年改称居委会至今；材料另说撤村改居在2001年9月[1][2]。
经济与设施[edit]
社区西靠325国道，三乐公路也从辖区通过，建有乐从钢铁专业市场、乐从布匹市场和乐从塑料市场等[2]。博雅地名网记常住人口3071人、822户，流动人口4300多人，设10个居民小组和1个股份社[2]。2019年9月，腾冲社区列入广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位[1]。
