樟山村位于广东省湛江市吴川市塘㙍镇南部，是镇辖的一个行政村，下辖6条自然村、6个村民小组^[1]。村情材料称其为革命老区村，辖区内有张炎故居^[1]^[2]。

村级建制的变化如下：前后为樟山行政村（1950年）、为高级社（1957年）、为大队（1959年）、为乡（1983年）、为管理区（1988年）、改称樟山村民委员会（1999年）^[1]。

据博雅地名网所载村情（未注明年份），村域总面积3平方公里，水田2300亩、坡地550亩，合计耕地约2850亩，林木500亩。村情称其北面为梅塘公路，村中另有南北贯通的村巴快道^[2]。

村情记有总人口5892人，约1238户，外出务工经商者600人（未注明年份）^[2]。

村情称，该村属丘陵地带，主要种植水稻、番薯和花生，兼营林业、淡水养殖、产品加工与手工业；人均收入600元（未注明年份）^[2]。

张炎故居坐落在樟山村，建于民国时期，是红砖与混凝土砌成的二层楼房，中西合璧；建筑面积324平方米，占地600多平方米，1989年公布为广东省文物保护单位^[3]。

国民党十九路军将领张炎（1902—1945）和他的堂兄张世德（1893—1930）均为樟山村人；张炎于1932年在家乡创办世德学校，是今张炎纪念中学的前身^[4]。
