历史沿革[edit]
东村1958年为生产大队，1983年改乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改作管理区，1998年重设村民委员会，延续到现在[2]。
人口民族[edit]
镇政府2020年的概况称，欧姓约2500人，主要集中在东村、里村和鱼池岭村；邓姓约7000人，也有一部分在东村[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
欧阳宗祠占地385平方米，外形仿府第，门楼、主厅和两侧厢房排在同一条中轴线上，祠内收藏的图文记载了欧阳修后人数百年的变迁[1]。碧水洞是地下河冲蚀而成的溶洞，洞身深近千米，洞里奇石林立、瀑布相连[1]。
著名人物[edit]
博雅地名网称，清代的欧焕舒是东村人，字桐阴，乾隆三十年（1765年）选拔廷试一等，被派往陕西做官，先后任武功、兴平等地知县[3]。
