1987年1月，原新村居委会经霞山区政府批准改为村委会，新村由此成立，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2015年3月，司法部与民政部将新村列入第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
  • 广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予其“2022年广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
