鹿根垌村是石颈镇西南部的行政村，离镇政府约2公里，辖10条自然村，办事处设在下新村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
起初是1961年的新村大队，其后依次改作鹿根垌乡（1983年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年），1998年重新称村委会。村名据说因四周山林环绕、形如行走的鹿群，原称鹿群垌。[1]
人口民族[edit]
人口3003人，耕地1285亩。[1]
经济[edit]
特产有红烟，并种有大量红橙、荔枝、龙眼。2019年9月，村榜上有名，入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
