红星社区在汕头市濠江区礐石街道，南滨路跳水馆西侧，三面环山、一面临海，旧名苏埃、苏安村，主要种植红萝卜等蔬菜[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆五十一年（1786年），一位顾姓农民在「下尾口」搭草寮居住，河浦、珠浦的农民随后迁来耕种，聚成村落，起名苏埃，旧属砂浦都；1950年改称苏安村；1959年改设红星大队，「红星」取红星闪耀之意；1986年设村委会，1999年6月设居委会[1][2]。

经济[edit]

居委分五个居民小组，常住308户1332人，被省认证为无公害蔬菜生产基地；地域面积约1.47平方千米，其中山林1401亩，影视城项目已征用538.563亩[1]。
