红星村是乳源瑶族自治县大桥镇的行政村，村委会驻地在镇域西南部，与镇政府驻地相距2公里，到县城30公里。村下设13个自然村，共411户、2877人。[1]村名的来历：村设立于中华人民共和国成立初期，取红星照耀、日子红火之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国之初这里是红星乡，1958年成为红星大队；红星乡政府成立于1983年，三年后改称红星村委会，1989年又叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]
经济[edit]
该村2123亩耕地、11350亩山林，种植以水稻、玉米、黄烟，另种黄豆；2008年村民人均年收入为3473元。[1]
