红光社区居委会又名蜈田村，在汕头市濠江区礐石街道，324国道旁，紧邻礐石风景区，与汕头北岸隔海相望[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖四十三年（1564年），澄海县吕姓与潮阳县的人家先后在此定居成村[1]。村西北有一块形似牛的巨石，起名牛田村，后因音近讹作蜈田[1]。人民公社时期（1959年）设红光大队，「红光」取光辉普照之意[1][2]。1984年称红光管理区，1986年为红光村民委员会，1999年改居委会，2003年起属濠江区礐石街道[1]。
经济[edit]
社区简介称辖区有企业14家，从业以建筑、运输、造船、工艺、印刷为主，办有客渡站、货运码头等[1]。2026年1月，红光社区获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
