历史沿革[edit]
尾村李姓家谱称，明末李姓人家从鸥汀（今汕头市郊下蓬）迁来定居；另一说是先有曾姓人家居下寮（猫山麓），后为避盗迁至尾村[1]。清康熙年间，福建仙游陈姓与河浦苏姓也迁来，村因居三村西尾而名尾村[1]。
现状[edit]
社区面积1.5平方千米，273户1434人，有集体林地890亩、虾池约100亩；1992年被区园区办征用土地247.55亩[1]。
