地名与沿革[edit]
这里原属文槐一带，「红星」是1958年当地炼铁厂的厂名，村名由此而来，当年划入文福公社。1983年红星、文槐、路亭三个大队合为红星乡，1987年改村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年复称村民委员会。[1]

村情介绍（未注年份）：15个村民小组，683户、2508人，总面积9.6平方公里，耕地1335亩；种植烤烟、甜玉米和花生。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
路亭古塔又称文福古塔，由矿工集资兴建，1817年动工，1823年竣工；塔七层八角，通高约32.6米（一说34米），建塔前原有明代的路亭庵。1985年定为县级文物保护单位，2014年1月升为市级。[2]
