历史沿革[edit]
清东在1951年土改时是农会，次年成乡，1957年改大队；1964年一度称革委会，后来恢复大队名；1987年成管理区，隶清塘镇；1994年起归东城街道；1998年设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载村情：清东村是革命老区，面积12平方千米，设30个村民小组，4300多人（党员79人）；村规划1300亩村级工业小区，已建300亩，进驻工业项目16个；农业上经济林逾4000亩、柑桔逾3000亩、鱼塘约3000亩，2008年村集体经济收入501万元。村内的趟耙头山有巫镜池烈士墓。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2015年3月，司法部和民政部授予清东村「第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」称号。[1]
