历史沿革[edit]
清康熙年间，福建仙游的陈姓与河浦的苏姓先后迁来务农，成村，旧属砂浦都[1]。因与另外两村相邻，三村村民合称「三联」，此村居东边，故名头村[2]。1959年至1975年三个村合为三联大队，1976年拆分为头、中、尾三个大队[3]。
现状[edit]
社区面积0.66平方千米，人口1600多人，种水稻、甘薯和甘蔗，有工业用地38亩；2019年9月上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
